Raptor

As a big fan of the Massively Multi-Player Online Roleplaying Game (MMORPG, or MMO for short) craze that hit the world by storm with the coming of Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft, it wasn't long before I wanted to create an MMO of my own. What a grand experiment!

Raptor was my first leap into alot of things... programming with a very specific engine known as Realm Crafter for one, and working with 3D models for another, along with a slew of other untested waters I had to at least learn the basics of... and fast! Surveying the landscape of the market and what was being offered in the realm of MMO's at the time, my idea for a game featuring non-human characters went over well with the initial audience I had reviewing the concept art (from gaming execs to forum goons, and of course, my beloved following on DeviantArt). So I was confident in the project, and still am to this day.

Unfortunately, due to upgrades to the engine, and an inevitable lack of time on my part brought about by none other than comic book artwork, I created a working version of the game, but nothing I was comfortable throwing down for public release. Raptor is currently on indefinite hiatus, but for interested parties, I certainly wouldn't mind discussing its future with another developer should there be an outside interest continuing it. If so, do get ahold of me and we'll talk! Meantime, I hope you enjoy this mini project "timeline" for some of the production and promotional work created for the game!
